Perhaps, you’re afraid that if you reach out for help, no one will understand or truly be able to support you. I get it. I’ve been down this road myself. Having experienced anxiety and depression firsthand I know the journey to recovery is far from easy. Admitting to yourself that you need help and then actually asking for it are often the hardest steps to take. It is also the bravest act of self-compassion any of us can perform. In times of hardship and struggle, all of us need a lifeline but not everyone has the courage to reach for it.

With years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, I’ve helped people go from their darkest of places to truly transforming their lives for the better. I enjoy working with highly motivated individuals and couples ready to make change. Helping others find hope, learn new ways of coping, reduce substance use, and have healthier relationships with themselves and others is my purpose and my passion.

About Therapy

People come to therapy to feel better. Period. Anyone brave enough to take that step deserves a safe space to unburden their fears, discuss the problems they are faced with, share their story, and be heard, seen, and understood. Everyone’s reason for starting therapy is unique to them. Some people come to therapy facing significant mental health challenges such as panic attacks, addiction, or trauma, while others are simply having difficulty navigating daily stress or life transitions. Whatever the issue you are facing, therapy is about getting you into the solution and helping you feel better, faster.

My Style

My clients often describe me as real and relatable (hence the name Real Therapy). I use compassion, supportive feedback, honesty, and a focus on strengths and solutions. I believe in the value of being genuine and connecting authentically. I’ve sometimes been known to toss around a football in session and use walking therapy when the situation calls for it. Personally, I don’t believe in one size fits all treatment. I use an individualized approach tailored to the needs and strengths of my clients. I recognize that you are the expert of yourself and I am here to support you and ultimately encourage you to make your own decisions and follow your own path.
